Recruitment

Students are definitely back in town. Parking and traffic have greatly increased this past week since school started on Monday. It's exciting because it means that football season is almost here and it makes me reminiscent about my undergrad here at Auburn and all of the wonderful memories. As far as ease of travel goes, Luke and I both prefer the summertime.
Last week was recruitment. I participated more than I have in years since Amy was recruitment chair of Alpha Chi. I was able to see her several times during the week when I brought her lunch, helped to serve food to the whole sorority, and helped with alum activities. I could not be more proud of the job that she did! There were definitely times throughout the week where she was ready to pull her hair out! Overall, I think she was really glad for the experience - after this, there's no social planning activity that could compare! Everyone kept raving about the job she did - how fun, laid back, yet dedicated she was. They said her personality and overall attitude were so great that the girls were all inspired their best job.
Amy prayed about recruitment for months - mainly that God would be glorified and magnified throughout the entire experience. Halfway through recruitment week, some of the overall directors of recruitment came to her and said that Alpha Chi was talking about the Lord too much - that they needed to tone it down. I don't think there could have been a better compliment! Needless to say, Amy did not change anything.

I have a truly amazing sister! I could not be more proud of her!
