Flu Shots

Luke's gone to Savannah for the week for an engineering conference where he'll be presenting the research that he's been working on for the past 1.5 years. He presents today at 1:12 central time - prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Walgreens has been crazy, to say the least - but I actually really enjoy it. I've had A LOT to learn since I've never worked retail (and most of my classmates have). There's another P4 with me, and we've been averaging about 40-60 flu shots daily between the two of us. Having never really given shots before this rotation, I've now become a pro! My least favorite shot scenario is when a person (usually female) comes in and tells me ....."you know, i really don't like needles." Great. Yesterday was definitely one of those days. One girl started crying before I even pulled out the needle. Another sat down and said "I pass out almost every time I get a shot...just so you know." Pleasant - I'll prepare myself for you to fall out on the floor afterwards. Luckily, she didn't pass out (instead she just stayed seated for several minutes afterwards).
