Austin turned 16 this week, and I went along to the DMV with him and Mom to get his driver's license. Austin was in a separate waiting room with other people waiting to get a driver's license, while Mom and I waited in an outside waiting room that was visible through a large window.
Me: "Mom, I'm surprised that we haven't seen anyone walk outside with a DMV worker to take their driving test... how long do you think this is going to take?"
Mom: "Yes, we did, Kristen. Didn't you notice the state trooper walking outside with that guy when we were outside earlier?"
Me: "You mean the guy in the handcuffs?"
Mom: "Now that you mention it, he was getting into the back of the state trooper vehicle..."
I love my family... we laugh all of the time.
