Do-a-Days

Luke and I have now been married 4.5 months. We've had so much fun beginning our lives together as a married couple and building our own traditions and quirks. One thing that we're trying is this new blog to help keep everyone updated. In our first blog post, I thought it would be appropriate to share about one of our other new traditions:

We've had so much that we have wanted to do these past few months that it frequently seemed somewhat overwhelming. So, we decided to pick one "to do" item and finish it each day. That way, the list won't get so overwhelming, and we can get things accomplished. My wonderful husband creatively dubbed these "do-a-days."

Ever since I moved into the house back in July of 2007, the front yard has been in sad shape. Most of the plants were completely dead, but the weeds were rampant! Luke and I decided that our "do-a-day" for this past Saturday should be cleaning up the front yard. The finished product is in the picture above. We worked outside all day while listening to the football games on the radio. Most of the items in the picture were not there before Saturday. Needless to say, both of us are still sore from the day full of yard work!

We're really proud to finally have a front flower bed that actually looks decent! And really excited about our new "do-a-days"!
